One Piece Chapter 821 Review: ZOU, Scracthmen Apoo

821: The last shadow of death. Zou takes out Jack
Holy Moly, there I was hoping to see a showdown between the SW and Jack. Little did I know, Zou was the act of God, as in that famous line from Pacific Rim: "There are things you can't fight, acts of God. You see a hurricane coming, you have to get out of the way..." But Jack didn't heed to that thought from the wise man. Zou, powerful and large as the hurricane, was the last shadow  Jack witnessed. Under the command of Monosuke, it took out with a single swing of his trunk Jack's entire fleet! That, my dear One Piece fans, is true power.

Who Are The Members Of The Vinsmoke Family? Identities Revealed!?

I think I just figured out at least one of the Vinsmoke family members!

Fight Against Big Mom: Who Will Join/Help Luffy Rescue Sanji

Since Luffy decided to go rescue Sanji out of his current predicament, we can expect that at least three mini arcs will happen before the real showdown against Yonko Kaidou:
1) Luffy will face-off Big Mom (more like a animated meeting) and the Vinesmoke family
2) Some of the Straw Hats will be fighting Jack before heading to Wano (See chapter 822)
3) Master Nekomamushi will go recruit Marco, possibly running into Edward Weeble a.k.a. Whitebeard Jr.
4) .....reserved

This post is really about the first point raised above. I think we're in for a big surprise. Let's get started then:

Chapter 820 Review - Marco The Phoenix

Wow there really was an overload of important clues and information disclosed by Oda sensei in chapter 820. Not that we dislike it; on the contrary, we love it! I believe the most important piece we got from this chapter is the clash between Marco The Phoenix and the The Black Beard Pirates which resulted in: 1) the defeat of Marco, and 2) Marshall D Teach being labeled as a Yonko. That's something I definitely wanna hear more about just like the clash between Aokiji and Akainu that also resulted in the defeat of Aokiji and his defection to the Black pirates.

Let's get down with the review of the chapter!

The Minks' Secret Trump Card - The Dragon Ball Z Link

Duke Inuarashi on the Minks' trump card
Hmm, last night something just jumped at me while re-reading last week's chapter 819. I think I might have figured out the minks' trump card!

Post Chapter 819: Who's Going To Defeat Jack The Drought?

Yonko Kaidou certainly has a crazy strong entourage. His right hand man Jack The Drought, a 1 Billion Berry bounty man, one of Three Calamities, was able to withstand five continuous days of battle against Duke Inuarashi and Master Nekomamushi. Although he used a underhanded trick with Caesar's gas, something worthy of a coward, his destructive power is nothing to be sneezed at.

Let's run down our usual suspect list!

Who Injured Yonko Hundred-Beast Kaidou?

I couldn't hold onto my chair when Oda [sensei] revealed to us the last Yonko, Hundred-Beast Kaidou. After a minor disappointment with Big Mam--although I did expect a super sized being--Kaidou was just what is expected of the top of the crème, one of the Yonko. A beast whose aura gives away sheer power.

Now, the reason for this short post is to figure out what happened or who caused the injury on Kaidou's stomach.

 You see it?

Who could have possibly inflicted such an injury on the body of the Strongest Living Creature?

Well here are my usual suspects:

Why Shanks Doesn't Want To Become Pirate King

Shanks, a Yonko Unlike Any
The internet is buzzing all around with emotional speculations that Luffy will one day cross hair with Shanks right before becoming the next KOP. This might as well be true since the hero himself proclaimed his plan to wipe the floor with all four of them!

That will be wonderful, but I personally have no interest in such a fight. I already see the possible conclusion(s)  if it were to occur:
  1. Luffy beats him and hands back his straw hat. Shanks will say you deserve this, you are now the KOP. Have it back. Fate will have it that someone, a new kid, will inherit the hat!
  2. Shanks beats the living s**t out of Luffy. But everyone is happy and no hard feelings. Luffy learns the lesson: I still have a long way to go. Story continues, but Luffy will ultimately become Pirate King.
Nothing really exciting as you see.
Now let's get to the reason why Shanks is not interested in the iron seat!

Location of the Fourth Road Poneglyph: The World Government vs. Shanks vs. Dragon

Yo! My mind is going into trance right now. All sort of theories are just jumping inside. Before understanding one, another theory shines in the dark corner of my brain. Let's see if my fingers can catch up with the spree. The following contains major spoilers following One Piece Chapter 818 Inside The Whale, read at your own risk.
Now that sensei [Oda] decided to give more insight about the four red [road] ponyglyphs, I just wanted to explore the potential places where it is located. Let's get started:

Why Portgas D. Ace Had To Die

This is a question that should've been asked a while ago, but since I closed out my blog on a whim and figured the above question is still relevant today, it's never too late. Let's get into then.

One of the saddest moment in the history of manga was unequivocally the death of Portgas D. Ace. I haven't shed a tear ever since I read One Piece, Volume 59, Chapter 574  (and watching that part in the anime :-p). Well, I have been going through and through to understand why sensei [Eiichiro Oda] decided to kill off the character who stole the show ever since he first appeared during the Alabasta arc. And now that we've all witnessed with great pleasure Sabo's return, and seen how powerful the pirates sailing in the New World are, I came down to two major reasons why Ace had to die:
