One Piece 826 Review: Family Ties

After a long painful week without a new chapter, Oda served us finally with more information about Germa 66 in chapter 826. Sanji's siblings are finally revealed!

The Family

Yonji Vinsmoke

Lil Bro: Yonji Vinsmoke aka Winch Green
The dude who appeared at the end of the last chapter is very likely to be Sanji's little brother. Nami assumed so, but it hasn't been confirmed that he is younger than Sanji. It's not impossible that he is the twin bro. Anyhow, the two share a striking resemblance in both physical and lecherous ways.

Here is what we know so far regarding him:

• He looks like a fusion between pre-time skip Zoro and Sanji
• He wears a suit like uniform that resembles Astro Boy (or Freeza's army uniforms) and has cool gadgets
• He likes to fight, probably due to his killer instincts.
• He's got good reflexes as he immediately blocked his sister's kick although he was blown away.
• He is a pervert just like his bro

Older Sis: Reiju Vinsmoke aka Poison Pink

The next entry is none other than Sanji's older sister, Reiju Vinsmoke. Unlike Yonji she shares Sanji's good manners and strong kicks. She saved Luffy thanks to her ability to take in poison. But make no mistakes, she is a cute butterfly that takes delight in eating deadly poison for breakfast, a femme fatale for short.

•  Her eyebrows follow the same direction as Yonki's. This makes me think that Sanji's eyebrows have the same direction as his dad or mom.
• She loves to eat poison. Perhaps that's her innate ability or a Devil Fruit power. 
• She kicks ass with a kick. This makes little sense as I thought Sanji got his black leg skills from Red Leg Zeff. I guess it was coincidence, or rather fate.
• She's cute.

GERMA 66 and The Vinsmoke Organization

More light is being shed on the dark organization. Germa 66 is actually a homeless nation, rather than a simple criminal organization with long hands. The leaders, the Vinsmoke family, are considered as royals and are even allowed to take part in the reverie. 

This fact now makes much more sense and backs up one of my previous theories regarding Germa 66's involvement with the world government.

Something we didn't know was why Big Mom wanted to have links with Germa 66. From what Pekoms said, it is because of Germa's technologically advanced fighting squad (by the way, I still haven't played COD Advanced Warfare) not just because of their assassin tendencies.  If a Yonko wants such a thing, I can't wait to see their full fighting capabilities!

 

What The Yonkos Want
Another important point to draw from this is the types of military force the Yonkos are after:

• Kaido is after a full Devil Fruit powered crew, most likely Zoan types
• Big Mom is after Germa 66's assassin techs and gadgets
• Black Beard is after arms and powerful Devil Fruit powers
• Shanks is still an unknown quantity

 Jinbei Makes His Move

Aladdin appears

One of my favorite characters is set to return sooner than thought. Boss Jinbei tasked Aladdin to keep an eye on the Straw Hat ship knowing very well that Luffy won't stay idle after learning about Sanji's forced marriage. This was well expected ever since the events that transpired on the sea floor and more recently when Luffy decided to join the fray.  Hopefully he isn't going to ask Luffy to be careful again, we all know how that turned out in Fishmen Island. 

I was excited to see Aladdin. I wanted to see him ever since the flashback of Fisher Tiger and the Sun Pirates. I expect that Aladdin is numero deux under Jinbei in terms of strength, just like Zoro is in the SH. He was even mentioned by name by the king once, proof he is not to be trifled with.

Last points

Last but not least, what worries me is Luffy's facial expression. We have seen this same facial expression many times, and trouble always follows it. It's not a blank one, it shows a serious determination. This is one of the very few times Luffy actually thinks and understand what's going on. He expressed it with Vivi back in Alabasta, against Bellamy back in Mock Town, against Ussop back in Water Seven, against CP9 back in Enies Lobby before commanding Sogeking to burn the WG flag, and much recently many times back in Dressrosa.

One last note regarding the cover page of the chapter. I was eagerly waiting to see Mihawk's when he reads about Zorro, and I did not expect such a casual scene, which makes it the more hilarious. He seems to be farming/gardening along with the bamboos and Perona back to his island. For one second I thought they were wearing Luffy's Hat to support him like Dadan's group. But their hats are missing the red band, and seem to be simple straw hats to protect them from the invisible scorching sun like rural farmers do in Asia.

And if I recall correctly, Zorro's favorite food is rice. One more thing they share in common. Very casual shot but pleasant.
