One Piece Chapter 828 Review: 1 and 2

Good news and bad news. The good news is that chapter 828 came out. The bad news is One Piece will be on break for one week. But as the wise guy said once upon a time: "if you are given lemons, you better know how to make lemonade."  So here is my lemonade of the week, a quick review of chapter 828...Bazinga!

There were only two major highlights in this chapter: 

I. Sanji <3 Pudding

Looks like there was a steamy and romantic first encounter between Pudding and our love cook. Sanji met his future bride, but things took a surprise turn to say the least. Our cook's loyalty came between him and his desires for the second time. Remember how reluctant he was at first to leave Red Leg Zeff to join Luffy? He is one of those individuals who fulfill their promise no matter what. Although he may be a pervert down to the core, you can't doubt his loyalty one bit.

Reaction of the week

Sanji informed Pudding that though he would love to stick around, he will not be able to stay---just like Yassop's heart followed the call of the  flag of the Red Hair Pirates. That reaction from Luffy and co is the best I've seen in a longtime; much better than those YouTube reaction videos for sure.

Couple of other small points to note regarding Pudding:

1. Big Mom has 85 children. 39 girls, 49 sons, and 43 husbands, which makes up a family of 129 heads. Isn't that what they call Polyandry? King Kong ain't got Sh*t on Big Mom.
2. Pudding is in fact Lola's sister. We expected that, but it's always nice for Oda to hint at those small things. Since Nami is a quick study, she seems to have made the connection.

II. Four Brothers

Know that movie? 

I assume as of now we have the full set of the Vinsmoke siblings. Their dad is still missing in action, but the last two siblings are code named as 1 and 2. Let's recall  that Yonji was number 4, and Reiju was number 0. Sanji, based on his name (san = 3), should be number 3. The numbers are most likely a reflection of their order of birth. I guess we have something like this:

We can't really say much about 1 and 2 as of yet. They just finished their mission from a neighboring island that might have gone through a civil war or coup d' Etat that lasted 2 years. One faction of the fighting groups hired them to topple off the army leader who was ruling. Question is where they simply hired to kill the army leader, or where they playing double agents of chaos? That's some food for thought.

We're starting to get a clear picture on why Sanji ran away while a kid. These guys are ruthless. Anyway, let's collect what we know from these two:

• They're older than Sanji.
• There might be some bad blood between the Bros. #2 points out that #1's comment is not true regarding the latter missing Sanji.
• 1 and 2 might be twins.
• They have the same eyebrows as Reiju and Yonji.  Read my theory about Sanji's eyebrows direction.
• Their names might be Ichiju/Ichiji  and Niju/Niji (uneducated guess)

III. Last Points

The Note

Someone left a note telling Luffy and his group to turn back as soon as possible. They think it's Pekoms, who's missing by the way, but I think it might have been left by Aladdin from Jinbei.

And thanks to that note, the crew knows they're no longer incognito. Unshaken and resolved, our captain is more than excited for the next adventures!

The Cover

I was wondering what the heck prince Fukaboshi and princess Shirahosi were still doing on Fishmen Island and not attending the Reverie. It then came to me that Fishmen Island is directly below the headquarters of the World Government in the Holy Land of Mariejois. It shouldn't take more than a day to go up. Nonethless, it's nice to see the Straw Hat fever even deep down in the blue!
